Advance in pathogenicity of peste des petits ruminants virus.

Clinical symptoms and pathological changes caused by different strains of peste des petits ruminants virus(PPRV)were summarized.PPRV played a unique role in occurrence of macro-impairment,micro-pathological changes and virus distribution.It was proposed that the pathopoiesia mechanism of PPRV was similar to that of the other viruses of Morbillivirus.The problems relating to clinical application and research tendency in the future were also discussed.
