Expression of c-cbl Gene in Acute Non-lymphocytic Leukemia Cells and Its Clinical Significance
2009
Objective To explore the expression of c-cbl gene in acute non-lymphocytic leukemia (ANLL) cells and its clinical significance. Methods The mRNA level of c-cbl gene in 47 ANLL adult patients were measured by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR). 20 healthy adults were selected as normal controls (NC). Results The mRNA level of c-cbl gene in ANLL patients was significantly lower than in NC. The CR rate of patients with c-cbl negative was lower than that of patients with c cbl positive (P<0.05). Conclusion Over-expression of c-cbl gene may play a synergic role in the pathogenesis of ANLL and associates with CR rate in ANLL. It seems that low expression of c-cbl gene may be used as a marker of poor prognosis in acute non-lymphocytic leukemia.
