Predictive Score of the Necessity for Inotropic Vasopressor Support in Children with Acute Poisoning with Cardiotoxic Substances
2019
In this paper we report a scoring system to predict whether a patient intoxicated with cardiotoxic substances will require vasopressor inotropic support (VIS) during hospitalization. This new methodology is based on a statistics study that analyzes several characteristics of the patient upon admission and identifies those that are correlated with VIS necessity. The selected items are then used in a multi-criteria analysis to compute a score for each patient, regarding his risks to require VIS.
