Investigation and analysis of antibiotics used by 4806 cases during perioperative period

OBJECTIVE To investigate and analyze the antibiotics used by the patients during perioperative period,evaluate the rationality of using antibiotic to provide the basis for the clinical use of drugs.METHODS The retrospective analysis was performed to the use of antimicrobial drug in 4806 surgical cases of our hospital from Oct 2010 to Dec 2010.The statistical analysis and evaluation were provided.RESULTS In 4806 cases of surgical patients,the use rate of antimicrobial drug was 100.00%,of which a single kind drug users were 3006 case(the use rate 62.55%),while two drugs users were 1524 cases(use rate 31.71%).Two or triple drug users were 276 cases and the utilization rate was 5.74%.There were 2 808 cases that were administrated drugs for 3 days or less after surgery,accounting for 58.43%.782 cases were administrated drugs for more than 7 days,accounting for 16.27%.1076 cases were administrated drugs for 0.5-2 hours before surgery,accounting for 22.39%.CONCLUSION The management of antibiotics should be strengthened during perioperative period to ensure the rational application of the antibiotics.
