Percutaneous closure of patent foramen ovale (PFO) is an alternative treatment option of medical treatment for secondary prevention for cryptogenic stroke (CS). Despite technical success of procedure, residual shunt (RS) which is a presumable cause for recurrent stroke is observed in some patients.
