The article presents the level and dynamics of the prevalence of diseases of the circulatory system as a whole class, and hypertension in particular. There was a trend increase in the prevalence of arterial hypertension, most pronounced in the rural population. Against the background of a reduction in prevalence of coronary heart disease among the population of the region indicate an increase in the prevalence of hypertension, which may be due to the conditions and way of life in rural areas. Also noted the likely increase in the number of complications during hypertension in the form of acute disorders of cerebral circulation and the development of acute coronary syndrome. This should be considered when organizing a therapeutic and preventive care to rural populations.
