Correlation of hs-CRP and Peripheral blood lymphocyte count with cardiac function in patients with acute myocardial infarction

2009
Objective To examine the correlation of the high sensitive-CRP(hs-CRP) levels and peripheral blood lymphocyte count with cardiac function. Methods The serum levels of hs-CRP and peripheral blood lymphocyte count were detected in 81 healthy adults and 86 patients with AMI.The data of remodeling and cardiac function, such as left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) and left ventriadar posterior wall thickness growing rate at systole(△T%),were measured by echocardiography in all persons. Results Compared with control group,AMI patients had higher serum levels of hs-CRP(P0.01).The higher the upgrading of Killip class, the higher the levels of hs-CRP and the lower the peripheral blood lymphocyte count(P0.01).The levels of hs-CRP were negative corelation with Killip class(r=-0.38,P0.01),but peripheral blood lymphocyte count were positive(r=0.97,P0.01).Conclusion The levels of serum hs-CRP significantly increased in the AMI patients.Th elevels of hs-CRP are negative correlation with Killip class, but peripheral blood lymphocyte count were positive.
