Effect of Yishen Capsule on Podocin in Renal Tissue of Rats with Diabetic Nephropathy

Objective:to investigate effect of yishen capsule on podocin in renal Tissue of Rats with diabetic nephropathy.Methods:40 male wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups:control group,diabetic nephropathic model group,yishen capsule group and Benazepril group for 12 weeks,each group have10 rats.Then rats of model groups have been treated by streptozotocin(STZ) after there right kidney had been excised.The evels of blood glucose were examined at the end of 2,4,6,8,12 weeks.the expression of podocin were examed by RT-PCR,western blot and immunofluorescence.Results:At the end of 12 weeks,the expression levels of podocin was lower than control group(P0.05).after treatment of yishen capsule.The expression levels of podocin were higher than those in diabetic nephropathic model group(P0.05).Conclusion:yishen capsule could regulate the expression of Podocin,which may have protect effects on podocytes on renal tissue of rats with diabetic nephropathy.
