The Application of 3D Seismic Exploration in Earth Fissures Detecting

2015
In order to study the development and spatial distribution of earth fissures, 3D seismic exploration has been carried out for the area with earth fissure outcroppings. Data has been acquired by using a 4-line, 140-channel and 2-shot shooting-off-end swath acquisition-geometry survey with a bin size of 5m×10m and a folds of 20, also processed by pre-stack time migration technique, etc., and interpreted for earth fissures based on the ant-tracking technique. The research area has a total area of 4km2, and 20 earth fissures have been interpreted, among which 9 are principal earth fissures and 11 secondary earth fissures. The earth fissures are line-likely distributed from plan view, with a dominant orientation of NEE and two different dips, i.e. NNE and NNW, and in general, they have the same strike with the major faults in Jinzhong Basin and have obvious structural direction; in three-dimensional space, they are horsts and grabens. 4 out of 5 earth fissures that outcrop on the surface in the research area have been confirmed by this prospecting, which indicates 3D seismic exploration is one effective approach in earth fissure geohazard detection.
