Analysis of perioperative stroke risk factors in carotid angioplasty and stenting.

2010
Carotid angioplasty and stenting(CAS) is an interventional treatment including dilation of aortic sac and stenting. It has been confirmed a modus operandi in carotid artery stenosis and apoplexy precaution.CAS is a mini-operation with fairly improved equipment and skills, but It still has many potential complications, periprocedural apoplexy is one of the problems,it is highly emphasized.Operators'proficiency, preoperative selection of the patients, selection of the equipment in CAS(embolus protective equipment and stentings) and qualitative ascertainment of carotid artery plaque etc,are all closely correlated with periprocedural apoplexy. So sufficient recognition of periprocedural risk factors of apoplexy in CAS profits the reasonable selections of the patients and equipment and can also decrease the incidence rate. The paper analyze these factors in periprocedural apoplexy.
