Since his symptoms were unresponsive to medical treatment, he was considered as a potential candidate for LVAD implantation or heart transplantation. On cardiac catheterization, his PAP was 70/ 40 mmHg (mean 50 mmHg), right atrial (RA) pressure was 15 mmHg, and his PVR and right ventricular stroke work index (RVSWI) were calculated as 6Wood Units and 332 mmHg·ml/m, respectively (Table 1).
