Optical characterization of MgF2 composite films embedded with noble metal nanoparticles prepared by sol-gel method

MgF2 composite films with Ag or Au nanoparticles were prepared by a sol-gel method. Absorption spectra due to the surface plasmon resonance are analyzed based on the dielectric analysis considering the effective medium approximation.
