Coupling method for analyzing fluid-structure interaction in long-span flexible roof wind-induced vibration

Aiming at characteristics of fluid-structure interaction in long-span flexible roof wind-induced vibration,this paper presents a full coupling method for calculating a viscous incompressible flow and a nonlinear structure undergoing large deformations.Pseudo-solid elastic model was introduced to manage the deformations of fluid domain in fluid-structure interaction problems,which is helpful to make simultaneaus coupling of fluid and solid.A general simultaneous equation for analyzing the fluid-structure interaction was derived and it was solved by using Newton-Raphson method.It was firstly applied to a cylinder placed in flow to validate the approach.Then it was applied to analyze the fluid-structure interaction in long-span flexible roof wind-induced vibration.The results are consistant with those in existing literatures.It proves that the proposed full coupling method for analyzing the fluid-structure interaction in long-span flexible roof wind-induced vibration is feasible and accurate.
