Structural and optical properties of Cu doped CeO2 nanoparticles

2019
In this research work, the structural and optical properties of Ce1-xCuxO2, (0.0 < x < 0.05) nanoparticles have been reported. Co-precipitation technique was employed to synthesize the nanoparticles. The synthesized materials were analysed via X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman and UV spectroscopic techniques. The analysis of XRD spectra revealed cubic fluorite structure and exclude the presence of secondary phase formation. The evaluation of Raman spectra marked a shift towards the lower wavelengths. The energy band gaps indicated a red shift of the absorption band with increasing Cu concentration. In this research work, the structural and optical properties of Ce1-xCuxO2, (0.0 < x < 0.05) nanoparticles have been reported.
