Synthesis of Fe-doped CeO2 Nanoparticles Prepared by Solgel Method

Nanomaterials (NMs) have gained prominence in technological advancements due to their tunable physical, chemical and biological properties with enhanced performance over their bulk counterparts. Nano structured CeO2 is very attractive due to its improvements in the redox properties, transport properties and surface to volume ratio. In this research, Fe-doped CeO2 nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized by simple solgel method. The as-prepared and annealed samples were characterized by high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) in different temperature. The XRD result showed the cubic structure of Fe-doped CeO2 NPs. SEM images showed that the uniformity of the NPs increase with increasing annealing temperature.The TEM studies showed the 20 nm NPs.
