Pulmonary nocardiosis in an immunocompetent host : Successful treatment with moxifloxacin and minocycline of multiple drug-resistant nocardia transvalensis complex

We present a case of pulmonary nocardiosis in an immunocompetent patient whose disease relapsed despite prolonged therapy with amoxicillin/clavulanic acid. Cure was achieved with 12 months' combination treatment with moxifloxacin and minocycline.
