Determination of anti-cardiolipin and other antibodies in HIV-1-infected patients

Controversial data (9-13) exist on the prevalence of such antibodies in HIV-seropositive patients and their potential usefulness as prognostic markers for AIDS progression. This led us to study 116 HIV-seropositive patients in order to try to answer these two important questions and also to evaluate whether the presence of such antibodies is linked with the occurrence of other antibodies
