DETERMINATION OF TRACES OF HYDROGEN, NITROGEN, AND OXYGEN IN AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS BY GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY.

1969
Abstract Traces of hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen in water can be determined by stripping the gases from water samples of up to 30 ml with a helium stream. The stripped gases are absorbed from the helium on molecular sieve 5A pellets at liquid nitrogen temperature; at room temperature, the gases are desorbed from the molecular sieve and determined by gas chromatography. Carbon monoxide, methane and argon can be determined simultaneously.
