New Oil Exploration Results in the Flysch Belt, the West Carpathians, Slovakia

Renewed interest on oil exploration in the Flysch Belt of the West Carpathians in the Slovak Republic (Fig.1) results from a revaluation of older exploration work, organic geochemical investigation of potential source rocks and surface shows of hydrocarbons.
