Geological Mapping and Hydrogeological Testing of The Block-faulted System In The Hinterland of Egion, Greece

In the spring of 2001 research activities of the project "Thermo-hydraulic conditions in the area of the Gulf of Corinth Deep Geodynamic Laboratory: Interpretation from Well-Logging and Modelling" have started. This project is funded by the German Science Foundation (DFG) and is aimed to interrelate with and support the EU project "DGLab Gulf of Corinth". First results concerning the hydrogeological assessment of the geological formations and especially of the fault zones are presented.
