Optimal Sequential Strategies to Evaluate Presence and Severity of Coronary Artery Disease: an Information Theory Approach
1985
The evaluation of coronary artery disease (CAD) is based on 3 sources of information, i.e. (1) pre-test or prior probability of CAD (P) derived from age, sex, nature of complaints and presence of risk factors, (2) non-invasive testing such as exercise- ECG alone (XECG) or combined with thallium scintigraphy (XTl) and, (3) coronary arteriography (ANGIO) which is the accepted reference method.
