Latest Progress in Research of Polymer-Inorganic Nanoparticles Composite Microspheres

In recent years, the design, preparation and application progress of polymer-inorganic nanoparticles composite microspheres have attracted many scholars' widely attention and deep exploration. Preparation of polymer-inorganic nanoparticles composite microspheres via monomer polymerization methods was reviewed, including suspension polymerization, emulsion polymerization(microemulsion polymerization, pickering emulsion polymerization, miniemulsion polymerization, reverse emulsion polymerization, soapless emulsion polymerization), dispersion polymerization and solution polymerization. The applications of these materials in the fields of biological medicine, optoelectronic materials, protective coating and catalyst were described. Finally, the future trends of polymer-inorganic nanoparticles composite microspheres were prospected.
