May I communicate an idea unaccompanied by data, but perhaps justified by the following Biblical text: "Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations." Deuteronomy, 32:7 How old is man? If recent finds in East Africa can be substantiated, tool-using man is not a half-a-million, but nearer to 2 million years old. Homo is certainly 75,000 generations, and perhaps double that since the time that he branched off from the primate stem.
