Distribution a mplitudes of light- quark mesons f rom lattice QCD

Article history: We exploit a m ethod int roduced recently to d etermine par ton di stribution a mplitudes (P DAs) f rom minimal information in o rder to obtain light- quark pseudoscalar and vector meson P DAs f rom the limi ted number of momen ts produced by numerical simulations of lattice- regularised QCD. Within er rors, the PDAs of pseudoscalar and vector mesons con stituted f rom the same valence quarks a re identical; they are conc ave functions, whose dilation expresses the strength of dynamical chiral symmetry breaking; and SU(3)-flavour symmetry is broken nonperturbatively at the l evel of 10%. Notably, the appearance of precision in the lattice momen ts is misleading. The moments also exhibit material dependence on lattice volume, especially for the pion. I mprovements ne ed the refore be made before an accurate, ed picture of the light-f ront structure of light- quark pseudoscalar and vector mesons is revealed. © 2014 Publish ed by Els evier B.V.
