Where's the key to coal liquefaction

1983
Recent developments in coal liquefaction have benefited from a greater understanding of the chemical processes involved in the liquefaction reaction. Based on the Lorne (Australia) International Coal workshop, this paper reviews predicting liquid yield, the mechanisms of the liquefaction reaction, the roles of reducing gases and of added metals, the selection of recycle solvent, and advances in process development.
