2012
Objective To analyze and summarize the effective treatment methods for repeated low urinary tract infection in postmenopausal women. Methods 128 postmenopausal women with repeated low urinary tract infection in our hospital from June 2010 to December 2011 were treated with low-dosage antibiotics for long duration, together with α-receptor antagonist and estrogen. Results The total effective rate was 89.84% (115 cases) with 78 cases (60.94%) of cure, 23 cases (17.97%) of effectiveness, 14 cases (10.94%) of improvement and 13 cases (10.16%) of ineffectiveness. 11 patients had side effects such as nausea, dizziness, headaches, palpitation and postural hypotension with hydrochloride sustained-release capsules by oral, and the reactions eased and disappeared when dosage reduced. Conclusions The comprehensive therapy of low-dosage antibiotics for long duration together with α-receptor antagonist and estrogen has good clinical curative effect in treatment of repeated low urinary tract infection in postmenopausal women, which is worthy of clinical application.
