A continuous process for reactions with finely divided alkali metal dispersions

The present invention describes a method of performing organic reactions with finely divided alkali metal dispersions in a continuous procedure, preferably on a rotating disk reactor. This method is mainly used for the production of coupling products according to the Wurtz'schen synthesis, and the production of macrocycles by acyloin condensation.
