The Significance of sOX40L in the Diagnosis of Acute Cronary Sndrome

2010
Objective To evaluate the significance of plasma soluble OX40 ligand(sOX40L) level in the patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS) as well as the relationship between sOX40L and C-reactive protein(CRP),blood lipid. Methods According to WHO diagnostic criterion of coronary heart disease(CHD) and the results of coronary angiography(CAG),25 cases in acute myocardial infarction(AMI),24 cases in unstable angina(UA),22 cases in stable angina(SA) group and 18 cases of non-CHD(NCHD) were selected. The sera levels of sOX40L in four groups were detected with the enzyme-linked immuneosorbent assay(ELISA)(ng/ml).The CRP,total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) were detected at the same time. Results The levels of sOX40L in AMI[(14.18±2.75) ng/ml] and UA [(13.02±2.92) ng/ml] were higher than those of the SA [(7.57±2.12) ng/ml,P0.01] and the NCHD [(7.77±2.04) ng/ml,P0.01].The levels of sOX40L were significantly and positively correlated with CRP and TC/HDL-C,and positively correlated with HDL-C.Conclusion The levels of sOX40L in AMI and UA are higher than those of the SA and the NCHD.The levels of sOX40L is positively correlated with inflammatory marker(CRP) and blood lipid(TC/HDL-C).The sOX40L may probably be used as an early predictive marker for the diagnosis of ACS.
