A case of advanced endometrial cancer with lung metastasis effectively treated with carboplatin and pirarubicin intra-arterial administration.

Abstract The outcome of advanced endometrial carcinoma is poor, indicating the need for new treatment modalities. We report a case of stage IVb endometrial carcinoma who received neoadjuvant chemotherapy given via intra-arterial infusion with carboplatin and pirarubicin. This treatment reduced the volume of tumors, even those in the lung. Then we succeeded in performing cyto-reduction. The patient is doing well 12 months post-therapy.
