Giant sigmoid diverticulum: Report of a case

A case of giant sigmoid diverticulum is reported. A three-year follow-up of this patient before the definitive diagnosis and treatment helped to elucidate the natural history of these lesions. Pathogenesis, clinical presentation, differential diagnosis, and treatment are discussed.
