Risk Factors for Pulmonary Embolism and Clinical Care Strategies

2014
Objective To analyze the influencing factors of pulmonary embolism, and explore forward-looking care interventions. Methods According to the medical record statistics management system, 229 patients with pulmonary embolism admitted to our hospital from October 2009 to October 2010 were selected in this study. The influencing factors of pulmonary embolism were analyzed by searching medical records and telephone counseling. Results Gender had no statistical significance for the pulmonary embolism(P 0.05). For patient ≥ 61 years of age, there were statistical significance among 4 ~ 5 risk factors, 2 risk factors and 1 risk factor(P 0.05). Conclusions For patients with pulmonary embolism, when several risk factors or single risk factor, we should improve vigilance, strengthen early intervention for high-risk patients, so as to prevent or reduce the incidence of pulmonary embolism.
