Necrotic Intraocular Retinoblastoma Associated With Orbital Cellulitis

2018
Abstract Orbital cellulitis associated with retinoblastoma is uncommon and is characterised by non-infectious inflammation of the periorbital structures. The underlying mechanism is thought to be necrosis of the intraocular tumor leading to intraocular and periorbital inflammation. We report two retinoblastoma patients who presented with an orbital cellulitis-like picture. and discuss clinical characteristics, histopathologic features, and treatment.
