Application effect of continuous nursing in compliance of postpartum diabetes mellitus

Objective To explore the application effect of continuous nursing in the compliance of postpartum diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 80 pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus who received standardized prenatal examination and gave birth and were discharged from the obstetrics department of the hospital from June to December 2015 were selected as the control group.A total of 80 pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus who received standardized prenatal examination and gave birth and were discharged from the obstetrics department of the hospital from June to December 2016 were selected as the observation group. Both groups received health education and discharge guidance on postpartum knowledge of gestational diabetes during hospitalization.The control group received oral education and publicity materials as the main way to inform the puerpera to come to the hospital for a second visit 42 days after delivery, explaining the importance and significance of the second visit.The parturient woman of the observation group adopted the continuation nursing to carry on the health education and the management. Results The compliance of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions Continuous nursing can effectively improve the compliance of postpartum diabetes mellitus, improve the postpartum 42 d OGTT(oral glucose tolerance test) compliance rate.
