Hemodilution(HD)is used commonly in clinic as a technology of blood conservation.The technology can effectively reduce blood loss and blood transfusion.Meanwhile,it has the advantages of being easy to operate and low expenses.Oxygen metabolic balance of the vital organs are unavoidably impacted by arterial oxygen content decrease after HD,when the body is to maintain the oxygen supply-demand balance through compensatory mechanisms such as increasing cardiac output,reducing blood viscosity and increasing the oxygen uptake capacity of the tissues.Here is to make a review on the influence of different hemodilution methods on cerebral oxygen supply and consumption.
