Application of serum acute phase proteins detection in diagnosing of malignant digestive system disease

2013
Objective: To discuss the application of serum acute phase proteins detection in diagnosing malignant digestive system disease. Methods: A total of 150 cases with gastric cancer and colorectal cancer from our hospital were enrolled and α1-AG,α1-AT and CRP concentration were detected before surgery.Patients with benign digestive system disease, stress response and healthy participants from the same period were observed for comparison. Results: Patients with benign digestive system disease had slightly higher levels of α1-AG,α-AT and CPR than healthy controls. However, the difference was not statistically significant(P0.05).α1-AG,α1-AT and PCR levels in patients with malignant digestive system disease before surgery were significantly higher than that in benign disease group and healthy control group(P0.05).Conclusions: Acute phase proteins increase significantly in malignant digestive system disease, indicating that acute phase protein detection has great clinical significance in the assist diagnosis of malignant and benign gastroenteric cancers.
