Investigation and Analysis of Drug Use in Intensive Care Unit in Our Hospital from Jan. to Jun. in 2014

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for the safe and rational drug use for intensive care unit(ICU) patients.METHODS:The drug name,size,retail price,quantity and medication amount were conducted according to the drug comsumption data of ICU inpatients that were collected from computer drug information management system from Jan. to Jun. 2014 in our hospital. RESULTS:There was a variety of types of drugs for the ICU patients,mainly including antibacterial drugs,cardiovascular drugs and vitamin electrolyte. The top five drugs in the list of consumption sum were ulinastatin injection,thymopentin for injection,albumin,cattle encephalon glycoside and ignotin injection and meropenem for injection. The top five drugs in the list of DDDs were fluconazole injection,cefoperazone sodium for injection/shubatan,meropenem for injection,cefmenoxime for injection and Vancomycin hydrochloride for injection. CONCLUSIONS:The drug use in ICU in our hospital is rational on the whole,but it is still necessary to further standardize the drug use,exercise strict management over high-risk drugs to ensure patients' medication safety.
