Screening tools and diagnostic assessment instruments for cognitive impairment in prisons and community correction - a literature review

This literature review was commissioned by Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) in 2018-19. The aim of the literature review is to identify available screening tools and diagnostic assessment instruments that identify cognitive impairment. For the purposes of this literature review, cognitive impairment includes intellectual impairment, borderline intellectual functioning and impairment resulting from developmental delay or acquired brain injury (ABI). Screening tools for attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) have also been included, but not diagnostic assessment instruments.
