Research on relationship between ambulatory pulse pressure, postprandial blood sugar pathological changes of great vessel in patients with hypertension

2009
Objective: To investigate the relationship between the dynamic pulse pressure, postprandial blood sugar and pathological changes of great vessel in patients with hypertension. Methods: 320 cases of patients with hypertension underwent ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and after 2h postprandial blood sugar level testing.According to whether the merger of pathological changes of great vessel exists,148 cases of pathological changes of great vessel and 172 cases of non-pathological changes of great vessel were divided. There were 50 cases of healthy controlled group. Results: There were a significant differences among the comparison of the various indicators of ambulatory pulse pressure, blood sugar level after meal in the normal controlled group,non-pathological changes of great vessel group and pathological changes of great vessel group(P0.05).Conclusion: Increased pulse pressure and postprandial hyperglycemia are the risk factors of atherosclerosis in great vessel.
