Association of miR-146a rs2910164 with childhood IgA nephropathy

Background Micro-RNAs (miRNAs) play important roles in the regulation of immune response and inflammation. The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between three single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) (mir-146a rs2910164, let-7a-2 rs1143770, miR-196a2 rs11614913) and susceptibility to and severity of childhood immunoglobulin A (IgA) nephropathy (IgAN).
