Application of standardized patient in urologic teaching

In this article,the application of standardized patients(SP)in urologic teaching in Changhai Hospital of The Second Military Medical University was analyzed.At the same time,the training processes of the volunteer"patients"were described in detail.The disadvantages of SP were its high costs and finiteness to simulate important positive physical signs.However,this finiteness was successful made up by using volunteer medical students as SP and combining the application of simulators with SP.SP was approved as a feasible method for clinical training and assessment in urologic teaching.
