Abstract 15491: Diagnostic Yield of Non-Invasive Testing in Response to Asymptomatic Non-Sustained Ventricular Tachycardia Detected on Routine Pacemaker Interrogation
2017
Background: Asymptomatic non-sustained ventricular tachycardia (NSVT) detected on routine pacemaker interrogation can lead to further cardiac testing such as an echocardiogram and/or stress test. The diagnostic yield of such workup has not been previously reported. Objective: The goal of this study is to identify the diagnostic yield of non-invasive testing in response to asymptomatic NSVT detected on routine pacemaker interrogation. Methods: One hundred and seventy-eight patients underwent non-invasive testing in response to asymptomatic NSVT on routine pacemaker interrogation between July 2014 and April 2017. 9 were excluded due to baseline ejection fraction less than 50%. A total of 169 patients were included in the final analysis. Data were collected and analyzed from prospectively maintained databases, with retrospective chart review, as required. Results: Of the 169 patients with asymptomatic NSVT on pacemaker interrogation, 137 patients (81%) had an echocardiogram and 86 patients (51%) underwent a ...
