Gas diffusion electrodes with functionalized nanoparticles

2008
The present invention relates to a gas diffusion electrode for polymer electrolyte fuel cells with a working temperature up to 250 ° C with a plurality of gas-permeable, electrically conductive layers comprising at least one gas diffusion layer and a catalyst layer, the catalyst layer ionogenic groups containing containing particles having an average particle diameter in the nanometer range, as well as their production and use in high-temperature polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells.
