Xibornol: multiple dose pharmacokinetics and diffusion in lung, tonsillar tissue and laryngeal mucosa.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the pharmacokinetics and the diffusion into bronchial secretions of xibornol after single and multiple dose administration lasting seven days in a group of hospitalized patients suffering from bronchitis with a purulent or mucupurulent hypereccrisia. In another group of patients scheduled to undergo pulmonary, laryngeal or tonsillar surgery, the diffusion of xibornol was studied in lung tissue, laryngeal mucosa and tonsillar tissue respectively
