A study on silver nanoparticles embedded DBSA doped nanostructured poly(aniline-co-2-bromoaniline)

2021
Abstract DBSA doped poly (aniline-co-2-bromoaniline) copolymers were synthesized through chemical oxidation method at different ratio of the monomers and silver nanoparticles were added. The synthesized nanocomposites were found to be soluble in polar solvents and characterized by Uv–Vis spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, XRD, electrical conductivity and SEM. The Uv–Vis spectra revealed two major peaks indicating π-π* and n-π* electronic transitions. FTIR spectra confirmed the benzenoid and quinoid rings formation. XRD pattern revealed semicrystalline nature. SEM image revealed the formation of smooth surfaced with silver nanoparticles embedded. The electrical conductivity values of the polymer composite were in the range of semiconducting material.
