Das Rheinbraun Hoch-Temperatur-Winkler (HTW)-Verfahren zur Kohleveredlung ― Betriebsergebnisse der 25 bar HTW-Druckvergasungsanlage

1993
In order to further develop the High-Temperature-Winkler (HTW) process for use in combined gas turbine and steam turbine processes, the HTW pressure gasification plant was operated with a service pressure of up to 25 bar and a coal throughput of up to 6.5 t/h from October 1989 to September 1992. The tests were centered mainly on the gasification of Rhineland brown coal using oxygen/steam and also air as gasification agents. In addition, a slightly caking German black coal and a strongly caking American black coal were also used for the process, with oxygen/steam and with air as the gasification agents. During the practically three-year operating period a large number of the component parts of the plant were tried out in continuous operation under process conditions
