Analysis of Reasons for Postpartum Hemorrhage in 48 Cases from Local Hospital

Objective To explore the reasons of postpartum hemorrhage and the appropriate measures to resolve. Methods 48 cases of postpartum hemorrhage in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed from January 2008 to December 2010. Results The occurring rate of postpartum hemorrhage was 1.98%. Different delivery method, number of lambs and weight of fetal had significant difference with the occurance of postpartum hemorrhage. Irregular uterine contraction, placenta factors and the damage of obstetric canal were the main factors of postpartum hemorrhage. Conclusion Cesarean sections, more parity and the overweight of fetus are the main risk factors of postpartum hemorrhage.
