Effect on intraocular pressure after substitution of levobunolol for timolol in patients controlled on timolol or timolol and dipivefrin

The purpose of this open-label switch-over study was to evaluate the effect of substitution of levobunolol for timolol on intraocular pressure in patients with glaucoma or ocular hypertension. An appropriate baseline intraocular pressure was determined at the beginning of the study. The results show that intraocular pressure can be expected to be controlled at least as well when patients are switched to levobunolol 0.5% from timolol 0.5%.
