Cyberknife and Its Application in Clinics

The development of cyberknife,a new stereotaxic radiosurgery instrument,is introduced firstly in this paper.Then each function and operation method for the 5 parts of cyberknife,including manipulator,positioning system,respiratory tracking system,spinal positioning system and treatment beds,are described in details.The technology advantages of cyberknife are analyzed in contrast with normal operation and common radiotherapy.Finally,clinical application of cyberknife in brain,breast and spine is elaborated.
