Capecitabine is an anti-metabolite, 5-fluorouracil prodrug used in the treatment of certain breast, colorectal, and brain cancers. Capecitabine has relatively low cardiotoxicity; however as an anti-metabolite, it can induce coronary artery vasospasms, arrythmias, and takotsubo cardiomyopathy.
