Xanthinol Nicotinate in the Treatment of EPH Gestosis

A significant improvement in patients with EPH (edema — proteinuria — hypertonia) gestosis was shown by us (1964) following Xanthinol Nicotinate treatment. We have extended out studies to determine whether the fibrinolytic and haemokinetic action of the drug also improved the utero-placental flow hence increasing feto-placental function, as described by some authors (VAN KESSEL, BERGSTEIN).
